Estava lendo hoje uma reportagem especial que saiu no jornal Estado de São Paulo sobre a África. Bom, é interessante às vezes ter matérias diferentes das quais vemos todos os dias na mídia. Dias atrás, estava me perguntando sobre a eficiência dos meios de comunicação. A mídia realmente nos mantêm informados em relação a tudo o que deveríamos saber? O que deveríamos saber? Qual é o critério para que seja dada atenção a uma notícia? Pelo o que vemos ultimamente não há critério nenhum e várias manchetes de extrema importância são deixadas de lado assim... não é muito difícil saber de exemplos de notícias que são esquecidas...
Como eu ia dizendo, essa matéria especial sobre o continente africano, publicado hoje no Estadão, mostra a realidade pouco lembrada dos países da África. Além de cobrir reportagens que mostram sobre a economia que está crescendo em um ritmo acelerado, embora a distribuição de renda não seja ainda tão igualitária, a matéria mostra o outro lado da moeda. Achei interessante conhecer melhor sobre a situação da China em um dos países africanos. Estão investindo no país, trazendo mão de obra chinesa para a construção de refinarias, entretanto, a pontos negativos, produtos chineses vão para África produzindo assim uma espécie de concorrência desleal, segundo críticos.
Foi importante também conhecer melhor sobre a situação da mulher no país, molestada por guerrilheiros...
Um grande problema da mídia, ao menos a brasileira, não nos mostra com profundidade a realidade de outros países. Imagino que, para se ter uma melhor civilização é importante obter conhecimento de outros povos, outros países para que através desse conhecimento, possamos analisar os erros e acertos. E essa atenção não está sendo realmente atenta. Se percebe, por exemplo, que representantes do continente sul americano tomam comportamentos hiperpresidencialistas... o que falta nesse caso é mesmo falta de atenção porque informação sobre comportamento de representantes aqui nos arredores é o que não falta!

I have just read today some special feature on Africa in Jornal Estado de São Paulo (one of the very best here in the place). Well, it's interesting to have some different news here around. These news were a kinda more detailed stuff on Africa. Sometime ago I was wondering if the media here in Brazil is something really effective. Is the media really good at keeping us informed on current issues? Anyway, what should we know about? Do the means of communication have a kinda methodology to pick the news that are really relevant? What I've been noticing lately is that there's no methodology or special care at dealing with that. By the way, more manipulation than special care...hehe. Most of the important news are forgotten after sometime here. If we would be in a dictatorship regime the explanation would would be that freedom of speech is something really limited.
So I was saying that, the special feature on Africa which had been published today, was really relevant 'cause it depicts a reality that sometimes seems to be far from us. The coverage of this report was much more than just rising economical aspects. It described the misunderstandings on international relations, I mean, as China is investing on some African countries they are adding there some positive points like, adding some structure to the cities, by the other side, you see that Chinese products are being sending there making disloyal competition, as some critics argue. The situation there for women is not too nice... rapes occasionally happen.
The biggest problem about the media worldwide,manly the Brazilian one, is that the reality in depth of other countries is almost always forgotten. I guess that, for the development of a real nation one got to have knowledge on other failures or success from them. This close look is not taking place anywhere. It's not difficult to notice,for instance, that Latin American representatives are taking some similar acting concerning the power. Some hyperpresidentialist behaviors. What lacks here is not information, information on this type of behavior we have lots around!
